The Clear-MD® DENV/ZIKV/JEV/WNV Screening (FAM) Real-time RT-PCR detection kit is a highly optimized assay designed for the detection of major mosquito-borne flaviviruses, including Zika virus, Dengue virus (types 1-4), West Nile virus, and Japanese encephalitis virus. This kit provides single-channel detection assays for screening four different viruses in a single tube, all detected at the same wavelength. It confirms the presence of at least one of the four types of Flaviviruses. However, it does not discriminate between virus types, so additional sequencing or a separate kit using a multi-channel probe method is necessary for discrimination. This kit is suitable for monitoring viruses in large sample sizes.
